Director of Technology

You’ll own the technical direction of everything Nordic Credit ships — the Producer CRM, the carbon ledger, and the audit platform that turns a WhatsApp message into a file the registries accept. You set the architecture, build and lead the engineering team, and are accountable for a system that has to survive scrutiny from buyers, auditors and regulators alike.

What you'll do

Set the multi-year technical roadmap across CRM, carbon accounting and the audit engine.
Own the architecture for trustless verification — evidence pipelines, geospatial data, and ML-assisted checks that assemble into a registry-ready pack.
Hire, grow and mentor a small, senior engineering team, and set the bar for how we build.
Establish security, reliability and data-governance standards fit for CSRD- and CRCF-grade scrutiny.
Turn methodology into software with our carbon leads, and represent the technology credibly in front of registries, buyers and investors.

What we're looking for

10+ years building production software, 4+ leading engineers.
Depth in data-intensive or ML systems, and the judgement to know where rigour matters most.
A track record shipping platforms under real regulatory, audit or financial scrutiny.
An architect who still reads the code and cares about correctness and provenance.
Exceptional written communication across a distributed, multi-timezone working day.

Nice to have

Exposure to carbon markets, MRV, geospatial or climate tech.
Founding or early-stage experience — comfort owning ambiguity.
